Which time zones do you teach in?
Student evenings in Singapore/Asia, Europe, and the US East Coast are all covered — Asia evenings fall in my afternoon, Europe in my evening, and US evenings in my early morning. You'll see live availability in the booking calendar below.
What happens in the free assessment?
For AMC: the student sits a full scored mock at home, then we meet for 30 minutes and walk through a written gap map — which topics are leaking points and what an 8–24 week plan would look like. For IB: a short past-paper-style audit plus the same style of call. The gap map is yours to keep either way.
How do sessions run, and what tech do we need?
Zoom plus a shared digital whiteboard. The student needs a laptop or tablet and, ideally, a way to write (tablet pen, or paper held to the camera works fine). Sessions are 60 minutes, one-to-one, with a curated problem set assigned between sessions.
Do you cover both Math AA and Math AI? HL and SL?
Yes — AA and AI, with HL as the specialty. Strong SL students aiming for a 7, or students deciding between AA and AI in pre-DP year, are also a good fit.
What age range for AMC coaching?
Typically grades 7–11. Middle schoolers building toward AMC 10, high schoolers targeting AIME qualification, and new AIME qualifiers who need an eight-week intensive before February.
How does pricing and cancellation work?
Introductory rates are $35/hour (IB) and $45/hour (AMC), billed monthly in advance as a package of sessions. Reschedule freely with 24 hours' notice; missed sessions without notice are charged. Rates for existing families are locked when you join.
Do you guarantee a 7, or AIME qualification?
No — and you should be wary of anyone who does. What I guarantee is a written plan, honest fortnightly data on whether it's working, and a course correction the moment it isn't.
